Treasury Reporting Intern – Treasury Center Americas (BMW US Capital, LLC)

BMW US Capital, LLC’s purpose is to assist in the financing activities of BMW Group’s affiliates and in managing interest and foreign exchange risk for BMW AG and its affiliates, primarily in the Americas region, and to provide services in connection therewith.

The Intern will become part of the Controlling division and his/her main project will consist on the development of a sustainable reporting process (and related reporting tools) that covers the key Treasury-related aspects at each entity under US Capital’s responsibility across the Americas region. Business aspects such as liquidity planning, financial markets monitoring, business developments, margins, risk management and cost of funds would be covered.

The project will be strongly related with cost of funds strategy for the Americas Region, with the objective to simulate, and analyze, several possibilities regarding the best cost effectively allocation of funding needs in existent, and applicable, instruments. Additional simulations involving target debt structure projections, will also be part of the scope of the project.

Upon completion of the project, the Intern will benefit from the experience by enhancing his understanding about Treasury’s activities in general, about the dynamics of interactions with several different entities across the Americas region and about BMW Group’s global strategies for liquidity and market risk management.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled in Bachelors or Masters studies or have graduated no more than 12 months prior to internship start date

Preferred Requirements:

  • Field of study – Finance, Accounting, and/or Controlling
  • Attributes- Conscientious, responsible, and motivated
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in written and oral German
  • Availability of 4 months
