Description: Perform all tasks associated with Return Check Item Processing within Delaware Controlled Disbursements. Upon learning all functions, will become a subject matter expert for all Outbound and Incoming Check Returns functions: · Process Outbound Return checks for the Control Disbursements department · Input EARNS Notifications · Key check information out to the Federal Reserve Bank · Handle Return Reconcilement from Federal Reserve Bank · Handle Return Reconcilement for all financial funds debited and credited to clients’ accounts · Investigating and resolving issues/cash breaks by coordinating efforts with other Operational departments · Provide creative solutions to reduce errors and to ensure adherence to audit and control policies · Produce daily proof, and work with other departments to resolve differences · Investigate and resolve STaRS cases with our internal clients · Become proficient on all of the processes within the Check Return Unit · Provide back-up coverage for team members and assist team members during high volume periods · Provide on-the-job training to new hires as needed · Participate in compliance related activities · Minimize risk to the bank through increased knowledge of procedural requirements · Complete monthly MCA testing · Maintain awareness of product changes and system enhancements · Perform multiple transactions of moderate complexity to achieve operating efficiency · Maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy · Handle first level escalations · Investigate Financial charges from other departments and the Federal Reserve Bank

Qualifications

Qualifications: · High School diploma or GED required 2+ year banking experience. · Intermediate level in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). · Previous experience in Risk/Control Policies relative to Check Processing · Analytical and investigative skills for problem solving and resolution · Ability to adhere to procedures and guidelines set forth by department · Strong interpersonal skills · Ability to escalate issues when necessary · Ability to identify gaps in processes and provide recommendation for improvement, and assist in implementation · Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive tasks over a long period of time · Demonstrated experience working in high risk/fast paced environment with strict deadlines · Experience with documenting procedures is a plus
