The Spring Hill School is an independent school, Toddler through 6th grade and opening grades 7 and 8 in fall 2017. Spring Hill offers an engaging curriculum that promotes critical thinking and intellectual curiosity. We help our students to become leaders and lifelong joyful learners, strengthening their capacity to contribute positively to their communities. We support our students to develop meaningful relationships with peers and faculty based on honesty, respect, and responsibility.

The Spring Hill School seeks the following:

  • 6th-8th Grade teacher strong in Humanities (Language Arts, Literature, Social Studies) Teacher
  • 6th-8th Grade teacher strong in Math (Science and Technology a plus)


  • Generate a classroom culture that is positive, engaging, student-focused and effectively
  • Offer whole-child learning with a daily emphasis on children’s social and emotional learning and growth.
  • Offer rigorous and personalized teaching to fulfill each student’s abilities, talents, interests, needs, and learning.
  • Integrate project-based and structured learning activities in teaching to engage students in real-life learning and mastery of subject matters.
  • Apply knowledge of best educational practices to support curriculum development and delivery in a rigorous academic environment.
  • Teach a small mixed-age classroom; be a positive collaborator and a strong team player.
  • Communicate and partner with parents in support of their children’s learning and success.
  • Communicate and share projects and learning objectives with co-workers, students, and parents consistently and effectively.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and contribute to the school’s plan for growth.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or related field
  • Teaching credential
  • Ability and enthusiastic about offering a program of academic rigor and mastery of subject matters through an integrated curriculum
  • Ability to integrate social and emotional learning in students’ daily work
  • Curriculum development experience (a plus)
  • Knowledgeable, collaborative, friendly, flexible, and tolerant with a sense humor
  • Believe in the potential of each child, catering to different learning styles, talents, and needs
  • Technology savvy (a plus)
  • Love of continuous learning and advancement
  • Positive and consistent classroom management
  • Strong communication skills and rapport with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Leadership mindset and passionate about community connection and outreach
