This position is for a System Administrator to support high availability production systems on a Federal services contract. The position will assist in technical engineering programs to implement & maintain operations support tools. Familiarity with scripting technologies such as VB and/or Powershell is required. The candidate will work closely with network, application, & middleware teams to support Windows based product installations, customizations, & deployments. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Windows support including software updates & upgrades, backup & recovery, performance management & capacity planning for the Windows environment. Experience in technology upgrades (hardware & software) is required. Off-shift coverage will be required for on-call support of systems & maintenance work in supported change windows. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance of Secret.

The work location for this position is Washington DC/Arlington, VA (Crystal City).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Position requires 4+ years of experience with the following:
Manage Microsoft Active Directory to include implementation of GPOs, support of file & print services, DNS, Domain Controller replication, & organizational unit management

Managing Windows systems, including Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Window Server 2012

Building, configuring, & managing Microsoft Windows servers in multi tenant enterprise environments

Experience with Enterprise Backup software (NetBackup, BackupExec)

Harden Windows operating systems to STIG compliance

Experience managing Active Directory architecture & replication in a multi domain environment

Experience with large scale datacenter design & operations

Experience with web servers, databases, networks, cabling, new installations & migrations, & security scanning tools.

the ability to write shell scripts & utility programs for Windows system maintenance is a plus.
