Job Summary The Nurse Supervisor coordinates the planning, organization and day-to-day operation of the nursing departments to meet the bio-psycho-social needs of the patient. In collaboration with the department director, assists in meeting the goals of the Regional Health System of Care, Joint Commission, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies. Leads nursing staff in the achievement of organizational, divisional, departmental, and personal growth and development goals. Maintains current knowledge of the care of the patient and standards of Nursing practice. The Nurse Supervisor will work through their active, palliative, and end of life care in accordance with accepted hospital standards and policy and the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act. The Nurse Supervisor consistently employs patient and family-centered care to promote safety, quality, and satisfaction.
Job Description Essential Functions:
Additional Requirements Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
