The successful Sr. HR Manager candidate will provide HR leadership across multiple logistics programs within the KBRwyle Government Services U.S. division.

This position will support business leadership and approximately 1300 employees to provide services and solutions to our government customers. This position will be based in Columbia, MD and will lead a team of Human Resources professionals.

There will be 10-25% travel required to support this distributed workforce both domestic and international.

The Sr. HR Manager is accountable for partnering with HR and program leadership to develop HR strategies and associated action plans to achieve business objectives, including a focus on the following:

Drive a culture of performance, results and positive employee relations

Drive and improve HR processes across all client groups

Coach leaders on talent management, and performance differentiation

Post-merger integration – drive and deploy integrated HR procedures and policies. When necessary deploy specific logistics policies and practices designed to ensure compliance with the business contract

Conduct organization assessments, respond to employee feedback, and develop action plans along with client leaders to drive employee engagement

Partner with the Staffing COE to lead workforce planning (staffing, redeployment, reduction) and develop staffing strategies to ensure a robust pipeline of quality candidates

Partner with leadership to deploy talent management processes, organizational assessment and learning strategies, and leadership development.

Partner with leadership to drive positive employee relations and to formulate and establish Company objectives relative to participation in union-management contract negotiations and grievance procedures

Partner with Compensation and Benefits COE to execute competitive compensation, benefits, and reward and recognition programs.

Strong written/verbal communication skills and understanding of executive conciseness

Strong knowledge of employment laws and labor relations

The successful candidate must also create an atmosphere of teamwork and development within HR team

BS/BA in Human Resources Management, Business, or related field

At least 12 years of progressive, diversified experience in organization development, training and development, labor/employee relations, compensation, benefits and diversity/EEO

including a minimum of 5 years of management experience

Due to Government related programs, US Citizenship or US Lawful Permanent Resident status is required.

Willing and able to travel to various employee work locations, including international locations in the Middle East.

Previous experience working in a government contracting environment preferred

Master’s degree preferred with a concentration in Business, Human Resources, Employee/Labor Relations, Organization Development or a related discipline

Previous experience developing proposal solutions and executing new business transition plans, to include incumbent capture and assimilation strategies

Previous experience supporting business leaders and employees in overseas locations is preferred

Experience in both union and union-free environments. Labor relations skills are strongly desired.

Green Belt certification a plus, along with demonstrated knowledge of Six Sigma principles.

SPHR or PHR certification also preferred
