Sr. Distributor Development Manager job – MTU America Inc. – Novi, MI

Serve as the corporate business representative and senior relationship manager for identified distribution partners, key customers and industry experts and influencers within the region on behalf of MTU America and MTU Onsite Energy

Identify and assess new business opportunities or changes in current path-to-market and work with contract management and compliance department to establish new business partnerships in the region

Monitor and drive the distribution partners to meet the yearly revenue targets

Develop corporate regional strategy, country / market specific position papers and business plans to optimize company’s business within region

Continuously communicate with Customer Facing Business Unit (CFBU) and distribution partners at the executive and management level to develop strategic initiatives for optimizing company business within the region

Present regional strategy and business cases to senior leadership within the organization

Identify consolidation and expansion possibilities for existing and new partners and report to management

Manage, review and develop competencies, and improve deficiencies, for distribution partners: regularly monitor and discuss distributor scorecard with partners; identify areas of concern, make recommendation for improvement, track results, and review corrective action plans with Director Network & Distribution.

Support regional CFBU’s with partner order intake, forecasts, planning and reporting

Assess and mitigate strategic and corporate risks and report/escalate as necessary

Govern and monitor distribution partners on compliance and business ethics and work with regional compliance office to resolve any issues

Travel within the region and maintain regular communication with distribution partners and customers

Attend distributor reviews, trade shows and sales meetings

Coordinate and develop slide presentations

Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Integrity code

Perform special projects as required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing and 5+ years of marketing and/or sales experience; or 9+ years of marketing and/or sales experience

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with others

Strong ability to manage concurrent projects and drive to completion

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong presentation skills

Willingness to travel – domestic and international (up to 50%)

Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite

Preferred:
Proficient with Spanish language (oral and written)

Master’s degree in Business or Marketing

Knowledge of MTU’s products, organization, policies and processes
