Title: Solution Sales Executive, Clinical/Operational

Job Summary:
The Solutions Sales Executive for our clinical and operational technology portfolio is responsible for increasing our portfolio’s penetration throughout the marketplace and matching the clients’ needs with the appropriate set of solutions that will ensure organizations provide the greatest standard of care for the lowest possible price. This role will be assigned to a specific zone and is responsible for working with our Client Management and Sales teams to develop new business leads, educate internal and external groups of our portfolio capabilities, prepare proposals and win contracts.

Leads the sales process for the clinical and operational solution portfolio within an assigned territory, managing the end-to-end sales process, contract finalization and smooth hand-off and transition to onboarding and implementation teams

Develops go forward sales material, messaging, and approach – working with Marketing and Product Management teams as appropriate

Creates and delivers high-impact presentations and solution demonstrations of the Vizient technology portfolio to C-suite and senior leaders, positioning solutions to meet member needs

Represents Vizient and its technology solutions at conferences and exhibitions

Delivers on sales goals for assigned territory/region

Attends user group meetings and trade exhibitions

Maintains the company’s Salesforce database with up-to-date, accurate and activity-detailed information around client information, sales opportunities and status, contact proposals, and expected close information

Monitors and reports the potential collaborator and competitor activities and identifying business threats and opportunities

Tests very new product releases to support product development team

Works collaboratively with the Sales group, Client Management teams, and Consulting groups

Develops a deep content expertise around all technologies

Develops an in-depth understanding of our technology deployment (data acquisition) process

Develops a comprehensive understanding of our technology service models and our consulting capabilities

Travel required 50-75%

Bachelor’s degree in related field desired, masters preferred

At least 5 years’ experience in technology sales, experience in leveraging clinical patient and operational data for improvement initiatives, and in tailoring solutions demonstrations to meet or exceed customer needs.

Good understanding of the healthcare landscape market, key drivers and reasons for shifts from volume to value

Deep knowledge of operational and clinical analytical solutions and their role in performance improvement within healthcare organizations

Ability to quickly learn the clinical and operational solutions and position the value within the full market perspective

Exceptional business acumen with ability to engage with our hospital members at various levels in driving value creation using solutions and managing the end to end sales process

Strong focus on identifying/prioritizing opportunities and driving them to closure

Healthcare sales experience, especially in consultative selling at the executive level

Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills

Flexible, action-oriented team player

Strong history of collaboration, prefer experience in complex organizations

Combination of sales, consulting and solution experience in driving opportunity creation

Clinical or operational hospital experience a plus
