The Software QA tester works as an integral part of the product development process at Propeller Health to make sure that the high quality results that come from well validated software delight and enrich the patient experience.
What will you learn in this role?
You will actively participate in the Kanban Agile software development process as a cross-functional product development team member and learn something new every day about software development, testing, medical device regulations and how long most QA members can go with out snacks (hint: it isn’t very long).
You will also learn by
Participating and eventually leading group discussions to review how changes in the software could lead to risks and hazards for the patient (and how to mitigate these risks).
Creating and executing test plans to assess and validate that these new features didn’t break something else.
Iterating on the quality process used to test the software to improve the overall product quality, test coverage, automate the routine tasks that can’t be done by a human.
Who will you work with?
You will work on a small 5-7 person, self-organized product development team with other smart, creative and passionate engineers, designers and quality assurance teammates.

What we are looking for:
A passion for validating software and squashing bugs
A creative mind with an eye for detail (yet can still tell a good joke)
BS Degree and/or 3+ years of relevant software QA experience
Nice to have:
Familiarity with software development in a FDA regulated environment
Experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA)
You are an early riser and like to do things like run, bike or swim before coming to work.
