PRODUCT MANAGEMENT/MARKETING PHILOSOPHY
You are truly the General Manager for your product. This means it’s up to you to define a successful business strategy and product roadmap, to work with Engineering and others to execute on that strategy. You are also responsible for evangelizing your products, defining roadmaps, creating epics, and user stories, and working with the Product Owner on ensuring those stories are succesfully deliver. In addition, you will be responsible for various GTM activities including, delivering webinars, conducting analyst briefings, and sales enablement.
Unique business model and well defined processes have proven to be tremendously successful resulting in continued hyper-growth for the company. It is critical to understand how SolarWinds goes to market and our sales model to create a business plan that will be successful. This is why this role is challenging. If you try to work how you have in previous companies, you will not be successful.
You will be working with a tightly coupled cross-functional team of highly talented and experienced professionals. There is a high focus on execution and organization, but we don’t let formal process get in the way of opportunity or experimentation.
SolarWinds has too many customers to visit each one. To reach our end users we rely on a combination of phone interviews, web meetings, surveys, and community interactions at industry events.
+ Direct, hands-on experience managing production networks
+ Product Management experience in network management or adjacent industry
+ Strong understanding of networking technology and our customers, people who are responsible for managing and monitoring network infrastructure.
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
+ Strong communication skills, and ability to interact with customers, partners, and press/analysts with accuracy and professionalism.
+ Ability to think and execute at both strategic and operational levels.
+ Demonstrated self-motivation and self-discipline to work effectively in a high-paced environment
+ Experience working in an Agile development environment
