Proactively develops and implements the technical sales account penetration strategy in each market presenting new products and technologies to current and potential customers and develop knowledge to uncover, understand, compare, and contrast the solutions before component selection.
Advanced understanding of the customerâ€™s needs and ability to leverage Sanminaâ€™s engineering and design services resources to identify & facilitate solutions for customer
Identifies manufacturing opportunities early in the design cycle through customer and supplier engineering relationships
Participation in supplier/customer design reviews

Deep understanding of the design process and design cycle.
Identify and develop relationships with all key technical decision makers and influencers in each account
Discover electronic component design requirements from the system level down collaborating with the design, production and/or engineering departments within Sanmina, our customers and/or our supplier community to develop/execute technical strategies that help solve customer design challenges
Utilizes other FSEs, supplier resources, technical marketing resources, to increase the quantity of Design Wins
Support and influence the sales team by driving adoption of advocated solutions, that meet customer needs and lead to increased design activity, Design Wins and sales growth
Proactively provides general application and product level sales training, proactively align with sales team in securing business. Communicate account calls with suppliers and Account Managers
Identify and track largest design opportunities from concept to production, utilizing all resources to assure greatest potential for success
Leverage technical expertise to influence designs utilizing solution selling, resources, and strategies
Attend and actively participate in sales strategies and business reviews. Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solutions
Partner with the sales team across pre-and post-sales activities, providing more advanced technical support and consulting to promote demand creation
Attend supplier trainings in person and via conference calls. Demonstrate a credible understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of supplier technologies and how those technologies relate to market and customer needs
Manage supplier and customer expectations by building and developing relationships, reporting on activities, plans, and progress on initiatives
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements: Bachelorâ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from four-year college or university.
12+ years of field sales experience.
Must have strong understanding of electronic fundamentals and design principles and have industry experience.
Must have experience with the complete design cycle.
Must be able to handle tough challenges involving complex and challenging designs, high visibility customers, and adversarial situations.
Must have excellent presentation, public speaking, and written communication skills. Customer service skills are imperative.
Requires a self-starter who has the ability to prioritize, multitask and deal with pressure.
Time management and organizational skills are an essential part of this position.
An understanding of sales activities, sales cycle, and techniques is preferred.
The ideal candidate has deep and extensive knowledge of the design registration process and requirements.
Has established, strong, and significant relationships with key technology suppliers and has very thorough and long established working relationships with large, key customers engineering teams.
This position requires travel 20% of the time.
