About this position:
We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team as a Senior Accountant! You will be responsible for ensuring that generally accepted accounting principles are followed in the preparation and presentation of financial reports and will work closely with Finance leadership in all facets of the accounting function.

Specific responsibilities include:
Monthly and annual financial statement analysis and research.

Assist with annual budget process.

Manage insurance program for leased assets including reconciliation of accounts and communication with third party insurance company.

Serve as primary point of contact with external auditors and manage the annual financial statement audit.

Review work of Accounting Team members as needed.

Research and application of accounting theory as needed.

Serve as primary liaison for general ledger, financial reporting and other accounting related software vendors.

Assist the finance leaders with ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Provide mentorship to the Accounting Team members.

Provide an outstanding GreatAmerica experience to all customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education, experience and skills required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with CPA designation is preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience is required, and public accounting experience is beneficial. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications is required. We are looking for a team player, a self-starter and someone with strong research and analytical skills.
