InfoReliance is seeking a motivated Test Analyst/Engineer, specializing in Section 508 Compliance testing, to support the Section 508 Compliance program at a cabinet level Federal Agency in Washington, D.C. The successful candidate will have a DHS Trusted Tester Certification (or equivalent) and an extensive background in software testing, including the Section 508 Compliance and mobile applications testing. The candidate must be capable of establishing and/or expanding the Section 508 Compliance program and provide support using his/her expert knowledge and experience with the technical standards and test methods.

Job Functions/Duties:
Develop/Update and maintain Section 508 compliance processes and documentation based on industry and federal government best practices and standards

Work directly with the business analysts and developers to translate functional requirements into executable test cases

Perform and/or contribute to the test planning and execution of 508 testing activities

Design and execute test cases/scripts based upon application design documents, formal requirements, and Section 508 guidelines (§ 1194.22 – Web-based intranet and internet information and applications; §1194.41 – Information, documentation, and support)

Create, update and maintain application/system, integration and regression test cases

Perform full cycles of sprint, regression, and integration testing

Perform 508 functional testing on applications/systems utilizing various 508 compliance tools such as JAWS, Tool Validator PRO, WAVE, etc.

Generate test summary reports after each testing cycle to show testing progress, actual testing results, and pass/fail status

Provide regular status updates to the Test Manager/Test Leads on completed tasks and planned testing tasks as outlined in the project schedule, issues, risks, and other action items

Other tasks as assigned

Required Skills/ Certifications:
Certifications related to Section 508 Compliance (for example, DHS Trusted Tester Program)

Expert knowledge of software testing methodologies including Section 508 compliance standards, processes, tools and reporting

Demonstrated experience in developing test plans, executing test scripts/procedures and analyzing test results

Demonstrated experience remediating systems to achieve 508 compliance

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

Must be a team player and Customer Service oriented

Desired Skills/Certifications/Education:
Experience with creating, updating, and maintaining test cases in JIRA or similar environment

Experience working with automated testing tools

Experience in mobile application testing (iOS, Android, Windows Mobile 10 etc.)

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

Required Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing and 2-3 years of experience in Section 508 compliance testing

Experience in an Agile software development environment

Experience working with business analysts and developers to translate functional requirements into executable test cases

Hands-on experience with performing Section 508 Compliance testing and the use of 508 test tools such as JAWS, Tool Validator Pro, WAVE etc.
