As a Sales Manager you will be responsible for selling new business and new applications with in the territory. This is a sales focused position which will involve development and implementation of sales plans on new opportunities with the direction of the Area Manager including documenting ROI after the closure of the program. In this role you will also be responsible for establishing, maintaining and prioritizing an accurate and current sales funnel in SFDC.

Other role Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with local support team to maintain and grow account base
  • Review treatment programs and processes with accounts ensuring effective applications through routine testing and monitoring resulting in customer satisfaction and business retention
  • Knowledge of the Coal and Natural Gas power plants in the Northeast US is valuable, and a thorough understanding of power and the water treatment applications in power
  • Maintain and build business/customer relationships.
  • Conduct the necessary site and LMS/class room training programs to understand the overall operations of the territory plants and new customer sites.
  • Work with local support team to drive value for the customer and document ROI
  • Review territory applications and processes/procedures for safety improvements.
  • Expected new business/applications sales time >50%.., the area has approximately >$6MM of opportunities identified, for FY17 est. $250K in new business
  • Expected overnight travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree; BS in a Life Science, Physical Science, OR Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years’ of technical sales/service experience; value added or consultative sales experience preferred
  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and HVAC systems
  • Experience in calling on multi-level plants and developing executive-level relationships preferred
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong computer skills; Proficient in MS Office
  • Focus on safety
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this role
