ABCO Transportation , a National asset based Refrigerated Trucking Company is seeking a highly motivated Sales Account Executive . The Sales Account Executive will work diligently to increase sales volume and generate new business development by means of daily and weekly sales calls and visits to both existing and prospective customers.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Generate new sales revenue independently to achieve personal and company targets

Develop an entrance strategy for cold calling, qualifying, and effectively connecting with prospective business partners

Create and drive your own sales plan strategy that successfully meets monthly sales goals and company initiatives to gain targeted market share in key lanes

Management of existing business accounts and continuously building customer rapport; educating on all company service offerings

The ability to utilize our internal tools to negotiate market freight rates for the customer

Knowledgeable in proposing freight quotes within the international freight environment that will generate the best margin for both the customer and our organization

Knowledgeable in proposing freight quotes within the refrigerated freight environment that will generate the best margin for both the customer and our organization

Hold specific knowledge in regards to refrigerated truckload, intermodal and other compatibility and shipping requirements

Prepare sales presentations, contract and proposals

Exude the highest level of customer service to both your internal and external business partners, and set the expectations that the task given will be completed to their satisfaction

Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s specialty services, internal resources, competitive strategies, and customer requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to meet given metrics daily via calls per day, sales volume per month, and provide reporting to management

Ability to strategically problem solve challenges and create solutions

Ability to effectively negotiate with customers in regards to market freight rates

Ability to effectively communicate in person, via telephone and via electronic communication

Ability to make timely decisions in a complex environment under pressure

Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities

Ability to work independently while supporting an overall team mentality

Results oriented with the drive to surpass existing goals

Experience and Education:
Bachelor Degree in related field of study or equivalent work experience

Minimum of five years previous sales experience in the refrigerated freight industry, including areas of intermodal and truckload transportation

Must have a working knowledge of refrigerated, intermodal, and truckload transportation

Must have a working knowledge of the refrigerated equipment, power lanes,, and third party logistics models including intermodal

Must have the ability to present executive level proposals to and deliver effectively with excellent communication skills

Highly analytical with above average computer and networking skills
