Store Manager – Full-time, 40 hours per week

Primary Team Leader: Senior Operations Store Director

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Direct Reports: ReStore Staff

JOB SUMMARY: Hands-on management of daily store operations. Lead the delivery of excellent customer service with a mix of paid and volunteer staff. Manage inventory from receipt to sales. Responsible for the general appearance of the store and grounds. Assist with the marketing of the store and its merchandise.


  • Manage daily store operations, including inventory control, customer experience, and personnel.
  • Build relationships with our customers and staff, ensuring a consistent, positive experience consistent with our values, policies, and guidelines.
  • Ensure customer care, from maintaining the tools necessary in a self-service environment, to directly providing customer service and managing those that do so, to resolving customer issues.
  • Directly supervise all ReStore staff to include paid staff, volunteer staff and temporary staff.
  • Maintain the safety, function and appearance of all areas of the store and common staff areas; administer on-site relations with necessary vendors.
  • Encourage volunteer program success by contributing to a positive, supportive atmosphere and encouraging volunteer engagement.
  • Oversee data management of and reporting for the department.
  • Ensure financial integrity by accurately processing daily deposits and timely reporting of sales to the Finance Department.


  • Basic computer skills, fluent in Microsoft Word and Outlook.


  • Minimum 3 years personnel management experience, including daily work assignments for a team of 6+ people, volunteer supervision experience favored.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships through strong interpersonal relation skills.
  • Skilled communicator with conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple requests in a high-pressure environment.
  • Forklift certified preferred.
  • Knowledge of building materials preferred.


  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis and spend majority of day on foot.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet
  • Requires manual labor and construction duties and use of tools
  • Able to carry, set, and negotiate commercial grade extension and step ladders as dictated by the building site.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged duration, walk, climb, bend and squat.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12.00 /hour
