Restaurant Cook / BOH Staff job – Spicy Isle – Katy, TX

Spicy Isle is now looking for awesome candidates to join their Back of House team!

Spicy Isle is looking for candidates with previous cooking experience to support the preparation and production of our food! Cooks are expected to help prep food (mostly using a food processor, like the best Caribbean foods do!) as well as follow the recipes to make the food our customers know and love. None of our employees do just one thing, because we believe everyone should be cross-trained within their team in order to best support our overall operation. We are team-players who love to support each other.

In this position, you’ll learn to cook our recipes straight from our owner, who will teach you the ins and outs of delicious, authentic Caribbean food. We are looking for candidates with a strong attention to detail, ability to read and follow recipe instructions carefully, who are well-versed in food safety, and who work well with a team. FOH Role – cashier, front service – ability to perform under pressure, ability to learn the product, accurately take orders, POS use, cash handling, cleanliness of dining area, smile, customer service, restocking dining/bathroom areas; cross trained in FOH duties; fill time; describe a time when you gave excellent customer service
