Provide personal care services, assistance, support, and supervision to Residents. Coordinate, schedule work and supervise the delivery of Resident Services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Assist in the development and implementation of Cooperative Service Plans.
Ensure that Cooperative Service Plans are completed and updated in a timely manner.
Coordinate and adjust resident specific service schedules.
Assist in the development of staff work schedules.
Provide direction and supervision to healthcare staff
Assist in staff education and development as assigned
Hiring and interviewing
Assist by encouraging and/or reminding residents to participate in activities. Promote activities enthusiastically to pique residents’ participation in activities. Facilitate activities outside of the facility when requested.
Observation and oversight of the Documentation and Communication Policy and Procedure.
Coordinate information pertaining to changes in Residents’ functional status, personal needs, appointments, outside services, etc.
Report concerns about residents to supervisor and co-workers.
Respond to resident emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention/follow-up.
Coordinate transportation services, using the company vehicle.
Identify supplies needed o perform tasks and report needs to supervisor and/or responsible party.
Maintain an accurate record of services (ADL’s, hygiene, medication administration, transportation, personal laundry, on task sheets monthly assignments.
Practice safety working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools and utensils (Infection control; Universal precaution).
Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor:
Oversee staff development
Coordinating In-service Meetings
Work as a Medication Aide and/or Personal Care Attendant at least one shift per week and as needed.
Available for on-call and as needed coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED, with reading, comprehension and writing ability at 12th grade level or higher
Training/Experience as a nursing assistant or home-health aide helpful.
Certified mediation training preferred. Skills in nurturing and organizing similar to those in a domestic household.
Experience or interest in working with older adults.
Maturity, friendliness and enjoyment in working with people.
Clean driving record (verified by MVR) and willingness to drive the company vehicle to transport Residents.
Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Excellent written and oral communication and motivational skills.
Staff development and training skills helpful.
Able to communicate effectively, in English, with personnel at all levels of the organization, with residents, visitor, members of the community and staff.. Computer skills a must.
Ability to maintain basic financial records of expenditures of the department. Able to understand budgets.
Ability to accurately assess residents and staff needs, problem-solve to meet those needs, to develop training for staffs needs, and to evaluate results.
Ability to creatively problem-solve in both resident care and employee management situations
