Remove Duplicates From Your iTunes Library Dupe Away

If you’re a diehard music lover, then you’d probably know how hard it is to keep track of hundreds, if not thousands, of different music tracks that are downloaded to the iTunes library over a period of time. Sometimes, you even download the same track over and over again, without quite realizing that the song is already in your iTunes library. Dupe Away provides a simple solution to this problem. It cleans your iTunes library by automatically detecting and highlighting all tracks that it perceives to be similar. The application uses an linear sorting algorithm that enables it to instantly detect any duplicate tracks in the iTunes library, no matter how large the music collection. Additionally, this program also searches for and removes non-existant tracks, i.e. tracks that are apparently in your iTunes library, but when you try playing these files, iTunes can’t find them. With this application, you don’t need to waste hours trying to get your iTunes library more organized.

Press Find and Group Dupes button to sort all media files in your iTunes library and group them into duplicate clusters. This action will also group iTunes tracks for which the actual files are missing into Nonexistant Tracks group.

Click Auto-Detect Dupes for Deletion to decide which duplicate tracks to discard. The application will suggest the tracks to be deleted by marking them with a check.
