**This is a Receptionist position for the Visitor Lobby and the schedule is as follows: Monday from 5:30am-5:30pm, Tuesday from 5:30am-5:30pm and Wednesday from 2:15pm-8:30pm.**

Greets all guests and patients, determines their needs; issues hospital identification; directs, escorts or assists them appropriately. Assesses wheelchair needs of incoming patients and visitors. Contacts clinical to assist with transport outside building or other medical needs. Notifies appropriate parties when visitors arrive for meetings. Answers, screens and directs incoming calls. Provides information, resolves problems and communicates as needed. Distributes standard materials to visitors including forms, brochures, and other information about the department or organization. Assists with preparation of mailings for the department. Oversees appearance and safety of all areas adjoining lobby as well as waiting rooms, as assigned and front entry. Additional Functions: Trains new desk volunteers. Updates training and procedure manuals for reception areas. Maintains current census. Specific to Visitor Reception area: Responsible for newspaper delivery to patients. Handles sales of newspaper to non-patients. Logs all incoming deliveries and takes action for delivery. AA/EOE


High school diploma or G.E.D.


Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions, read and write in English.


One year or less of related work experience required, demonstrating familiarity with routines and procedures customary to the position.
