Quality Manager – RN
Oversees and facilitates all QI activities within the Operations.
Coordination and development of data collection and analysis techniques in the areas of specific Performance Measures, and Performance Improvement Indicators.
Responsible for data abstraction for company quality measures, including HEDIS, CMS, and/or any other custom measurements.
Uses measurable indicators and outcome measurements to determine whether the desired organizational results are achieved.
Liaisons with the Medical Director to develop and implement the quality review plan and process.
Performs quality review activities and presents findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Identifies opportunities for improvement and develops and implements changes to processes as needed.
Coordinates QI activities with Corporate Quality Department as needed and appropriate
Active, clear, unrestricted RN license required.
Bachelor’s degree; Associates or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. CPHQ preferred.
Minimum 5 years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum 3 years Quality and/or risk management experience, including performance improvement activities, regulatory compliance, conflict resolution and risk management activities required.
Must be familiar and have knowledge of the Core Measures, Joint Commission standards, Hospital Nursing and Medical Staff structures and functions, and Performance Improvement.
Strong knowledge of HEDIS/CMS/NHQM
Knowledgeable and skilled in applying McKesson’s InterQual criteria strongly preferred.
Experience facilitating improvement teams is highly desirable.
Experience identifying organizational needs and recommending the appropriate improvements to increase organizational effectiveness.
Experience in teaching techniques and methods to enhance learning, preferred.
Excellent communication, organization & team building skills plus a strong focus on customer service & provider relations required.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and contribute both as an individual and a team member to achieve the goals of the department.
Ability to successfully respond to change and juggle multiple and changing priorities with sometimes conflicting deadlines.
