COUNSELORS – Provisional

Full time awake overnight Residential Counselor position available in a dynamic and innovative residential treatment program. Seeking energetic individuals

committed to helping adolescent youth on our vibrant Campus. This is the perfect job for folks who like to be busy, creative and offer innovative care to youth and families.

The hours are 3pm-11pm. This position is to work on an “as needed basis” usually at least two shifts a month.

Responsible for the front line care of residents providing a safe and therapeutic milieu while promoting appropriate social skills. Essential functions include providing

constant monitoring of residence, facilitating recreational activities for clients, working with the staff team to ensure the program structure while striving for identified

standards of behavior and providing positive role modeling for youth.

Residential Counselors assist the program in providing basic needs for clients, such as regular meals, a safe and clean shelter and appropriate hygiene. Residential Counselors are

required to pass MAPS certification training to administer necessary medications. Residential Counselors may provide transportation to clients as required.

Residential Counselors are required to maintain confidentiality with regard to program and client information at all times and

are responsible for attending meetings and completing all regular and assigned paperwork.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree Preferred, minimum of one year experience working

in adolescent services or related internship. Experience with a strength-based,

client-centered milieu a plus. Experience with a diverse, multicultural

population including LGBTQ desired. Must be available evenings and weekends.

Valid drivers’ license -motor vehicle background record checks will be

completed. MAPS training is preferred.
