The Project Manager II- Information Technology (IT) is responsible for establishing appropriate methods through project planning, analysis, development, and implementation to achieve effective solutions and meet objectives and priorities of assigned projects within the IT division. The Project Manager II- IT assigns tasks to project team(s) and monitors team(s) activity and works on problems which require abstract or creative reasoning to define facts and possible alterations for resolution. Work is defined within corporate policies and procedures to develop tasks and projects to meet goals. Under management direction determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may act as project leader/manager for a specific project. Additional responsibilities include the following:
Developing project plans and schedules, including requirements, tasks, work assignments, resources, milestones, review points, and reporting of project status.
Meeting project schedules and coordinating implementation.
Establishing, documenting, and implementing procedures and task instructions to provide company cost savings and work consistency for solution implementation.
Serving as an advocate for stakeholder requirements for the area/project being served, and assisting functional areas or project team in correctly fulfilling client requirements.
Facilitating the development of functional specifications and documentation, coordinating communication and testing of solutions to meet requirements; developing and managing project/product implementation plan.
Managing all phases of assigned projects from initiation through planning, executing, monitoring/controlling and closure.
Delivering presentations or briefings on all aspects of the project.
Maintaining project SharePoint site and project documentation.
May act as Team Leader on multiple projects concurrently, and as a project management/planning manager at cross functional meetings.
