The Project Coordinator assists project managers and coordinates project team efforts in all aspects of one or more concurrent engineering or system type projects from initiation to close out. This position requires knowledge of scheduling resources and prepares project plans and periodic internal and customer reports if required. This position also takes responsibility for project specific assignments and/or problem resolution as necessary with frequent interaction with Engineering and field service personnel to manage planning of the Automation group’s resources. Detailed Description

  • Coordinate internal project information flows with engineering, service and other groups for resource planning and scheduling of projects.
  • Evaluate project information against established baseline plans and customer requirements to assure timely and effective attainment of project deliverables.
  • Support project managers in all aspects of project initiation, execution and closure, including, but not limited to: project kick-off; initial planning; internal and external expediting; billing; customer issue resolution; fulfillment of contract specific requirements; monitoring of quality concerns; delivery issues; support, track and bill on-site service; and project closure.
  • Assist the project team to develop and implement scheduling techniques and practices for all activities requiring a schedule, including resource planning for engineering and site visits. Update and evaluate project schedules to assess progress.
  • Coordinate internal/external, customer and sub-supplier documentation requirements to establish project document delivery schedules for input to the FLSmidth document control systems.
  • Facilitate customer communication through establishment of channels such as, Transmittals systems, SharePoint, and other customer sites.
  • Prepare supporting information required for periodic progress reports, schedules, and documentation status reports for internal use and customers.
  • Complete specific individual projects as assigned by the department head.
  • Retain schedule history and other documentation for use on future projects or in defense or support of claims. Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or similar or Associate’s Degree with equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a coordination / scheduling role
  • Knowledge of MS Project (or Primavera) is highly desired
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal, and an adaptive personality in a dynamic project situation.
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus Additional Details EOE
