Program Manager job – MacAulay-Brown, Inc. – Herndon, VA

This position supports a warehouse and O&M function for a government customer. The warehouse issues and ships, receives and stores government specialized equipment. Prior to shipment, staff prepares equipment for issue by removing it from storage, inspecting it for operability and current firmware/software as well as that data stored from previous uses has been removed, keeps the location current in the property records and prepares property transfer documents. After receipt into the warehouse, staff updates property location in property records, notifies the shipper that the equipment has been received, downloads data and clears that data from the equipment, inspects the equipment, repairs defects found or arranges for repair at another facility, returns functional equipment to inventory.

The Program Manager will be responsible for a 50 person warehouse support program. The Program Manager:

Manages the program to meet success criteria,

Reports program status (cost, schedule and performance to requirements/milestones) to the team, to MacB leadership, and to the customer.

Serves as the Primary POC to the customer staff and to MacB leadership for the program, including performance of MacB and subcontractor employees.

Manages execution of the scope and insures program staff meets customer established milestones.

Identifies and documents requirements, and supervises program staff’s response to requirements.

Manages budget performance and insures accuracy of invoices to the customer.

Identifies and manages risks that could arise.

Develops standard processes with contract staff and insures that approved processes are followed.

Develops an action log/schedule and manages the program staff using it to insure deliverables and requirements meet customer schedule standards.

Serves as the quality manager for the program.

Develops documents and monitors a set of key performance indicators.

Champions and leads a continuous improvement process to actively search for, develop and incorporate best practices.

Requirements:
Must understand project management of federal government contracts.

Must be able to lead and manage staff with a wide variety of education and experience to accomplish the program’s mission.

Must understand equipment accountability, security for classified facilities and for SCI, scheduling and budgeting and managing execution to meet the schedule without exceeding the budget.

Five years of experience as a PM managing government contracts as a contractor is required, as is five additional years operating electromechanical systems in an operational environment for this customer.

Bachelor’s level degree is required.

TS Clearance with current or recent access to SCI is required.

PMP certification is a strong plus
