Job Description

Credit Benchmark’s customer base is rapidly growing and we are looking to hire an energetic client-facing product specialist to support this growth in the USA. The role will report to the Product Specialist team lead in New York. We are looking for someone with 6 months to 2 years’ experience in credit data, with the drive and communication skills to both champion and develop the Credit Benchmark offering.

As a product specialist, you are responsible for overseeing our core product roll-out: from working with core data contributors to assisting with embedding Credit Benchmark data and services within their workflows to evolving the broader commercial offering to subscribing clients and delivering against their key requirements.


With direction from the Product Specialist team lead in New York, this role requires:

  • Ownership and development of our product offering: Identify, prioritize and deliver the CB product set to clients. Develop understanding of CB input and output specifications, data model and data management processes and software.
  • Product evangelist: Understand, communicate and promote the Credit Benchmark offering with users and prospective users
  • Partnership: build and manage professional client relationships, increasing the Credit Benchmark footprint within the client organizations.
  • Working closely with the Credit Benchmark sales and account management functions to ensure consistent, focused and effective communication and implementation of the Credit Benchmark service.
  • Understanding, collation and development of client and prospective client requirements outside of the current product capabilities.

Desired Skills and Experience

This role combines client facing responsibilities with technical expertise.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Confident and articulate in describing concepts and solving problems.
  • Previous experience (6 months +) in a financial data company (e.g. Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Markit etc.) and/or relevant FinTech company.
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Sciences, Engineering or similar. Basic familiarity with finance theory and practice especially in relation to credit topics (e.g. PD and LGD usage / estimation)
  • Ability to understand technical complexity and competence in data analysis. Good working knowledge of Excel, and ideally Tableau. Additional data skills (e.g. Access, SQL) useful but not essential
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to work in the USA
