The jobholder creates and maintains procurement and materials-related master data, especially material and purchasing contract master data.

Manage material master database for technical material, specifically to assets-related spares, and give input to packaging and raw materials.

Create and maintain SAP material master data and quality control of master data.

Organize material classifications in accordance with K+S master data classification governance.

Describe material master data and preparing planning processes, including short and long descriptions and stockholding parameters.

Research and maintain producer and vendor information (e.g., part numbers) in master data and master records.

Research and coordinate technical standards (e.g., ISO codings) to stakeholders in Procurement, maintaining functions, and vendors/producers.

Work with international classification standards for K+S (eClass) and North America (UNSPSC).

Analyze assortments for evaluation standardizations for Procurement and Category Management, including bundling needs for creating outline agreements.

Communicate standards to and from K+S material master data function in Kassel, and other master data functions of other Business Units, especially in North America (Canadian Salt, Morton Salt, ISCO) and South America (SPL K+S Chile).

Support engineering units for standardizing spare parts, packaging and raw materials.

Monitor material master data workflows.

Support spare catalogs (SAP-MDM).

Perform stakeholder management duties on sites, ensuring key stakeholder alignment and stakeholder satisfaction. Establish and maintain a strong partnership with all members of the material master data team in Canada and worldwide.

Receive SAP Outline Agreements-related data, and update Outline Agreement master data.

Degree in Engineering or Business Administration, with knowledge in machinery construction or/and electronics preferred.

Relevant experience in the mining industry preferred.

People oriented with an ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff, vendors and clients.

Strong interpersonal communication (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.

Commitment to working in a team environment.

Strong analytical and innovative problem solving skills.

Strong client focus and a desire to achieve results, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.

3+ years related experience in SAP Master Data Management maintenance preferred.

Advanced computer skills in MS Office and SAP Materials Management/Procurement function.
