Play YouTube Videos In Any Aspect Ratio You Want

YouTube is by far the most popular video sharing service on the internet. Not only can you upload as many videos as you want but the site also makes it easy to share them either via social media or by embedding. The embed code is provided by Youtube and all you really have to do is copy and paste it. That said, if a video has aspect ratio problems, or while attempting to change the size of the video player, a video’s aspect ratio has been upset, there’s no easy way to change it. Stretch.site is a web app that lets you play a YouTube video in just about any aspect ratio. You are free to change it to any size while the video plays.

Visit Stretch.site and paste the link to the YouTube video you want to play in a different aspect. There are two sliders for managing the aspect. The 16:9>4:3 slider (the on the left) will let you change the aspect so that increasing or decreasing it will increase the width of the video as it’s played. The height remains constant. The 4:3>16:9 slider lets you increase the height of the video while keeping the width constant.

You can use both the sliders and change the width and height of the video as it plays. You can go so far as to change the aspect ratio so that the video plays in a square, Vine-like format.

Stretch.site may not be needed in most cases when you have to play a YouTube video since embedding them is too easy to get wrong. That said, if ever you wanted to play a video in a wider player, this is the simplest way to do it.
