Pharmacist Program Manager – PBM – 123024

**Job location for selected candidate is in the Charleston, WV Office. Possible work from home outside the Charleston area with certain requirements may be considered depending on candidate’s experience.

Responsible for serving as the primary contact for a specific pharmacy program which may be assigned by geographic location, business unit, or functional area.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Manages both internal and external stakeholder communications for assigned area.

Ensures the proper reaction to and resolution of issues concerning the pharmacy benefit program.

Acts as a support resource for the sales team regarding efforts to improve the performance of the pharmacy benefit for existing accounts.

Works with the HP to identify Pharmacy Trends and Spends in order to make appropriate clinical and operational suggestions for interventions when needed.

Supports the local HP on individual Cost of Care Initiatives (COC) as identified by the pharmacy trends and benefits.

Acts as a liaison between the Health Plan and Corporate Anthem Pharmacy Department.

Acts as a liaison between the Health Plan and company.·

Supports the Health Plan Staff in various other manners as deemed appropriate by the joint decisions of pharmacy and the HP.

Continually updates HP on new pharmacy rules and regs.

Some day travel may be required.

Other duties as designated. Requires:
Registered pharmacist

2 years of managed care pharmacy experience including knowledge of current health care and managed care pharmacy practices and pharmacy account mgmt or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Current West Virginia state license to practice pharmacy as a RPH required.

Professional designation preferred.

Same day travel and occasional overnight travel may be required.
