Mountain View Health Care is currently looking for a Payroll and Accounts Payable Clerk. At least two years of experience with Payroll and Accounts Payable is preferred.

General Functions

  • Answers all incoming telephone calls.
  • Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as answering phones, typing, sorting and distribution of mail, flow of correspondence, filing, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.
  • Reviews clerical and personnel records to insure completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform basic bookkeeping and accounting procedures which may include accounts receivable, payable, and/or payroll.
  • Ensure that transactions between home office and facility are carried out.
  • Process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
  • Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into computers.
  • Compile employee time, productions, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
  • Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Record employee information, such as exemption, transfers, and resignations, in order to maintain and update payroll records.
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
  • Keep informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.
  • Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and collective agreement provisions.
  • Assist in administration of benefits such as unemployment and medical insurance.
  • Verify PDO accruals and balances.
  • Complete all Georgia new hire forms for each employee.
  • Ensure accuracy of all new hire paperwork.
  • Perform other administrative functions as necessary or directed
