The Maryland Catholic Conference, which represents the public policy positions of the Church in Maryland, is seeking a Coordinator for Advocacy and Outreach to join a close-knit, dedicated team with a passion for working toward the common good on behalf of the vulnerable in our society. The Coordinator will oversee parish advocacy organizing by recruiting, training, and managing a statewide parish volunteer and district captain network. The Coordinator will also assist with communications outreach and social media by writing and editing content for various technology programs and platforms.

Job Requirements

  • Commitment to the Catholic Church and knowledge of Church teaching
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least three to five years’ experience in public policy, communications, journalism or related field
  • Excellent writing and social media skills
  • Excellent skills in website content management and facility in using outreach platforms such as Voter Voice and Cision
  • Graphic design skills a plus.
