This is professional, technical and analytical work, primarily in support of the Water Resources Department’s Work Asset Management (WAM) system, involving the related research, data analysis, design, development, review and evaluation of organizational projects and data reporting requirements. Work includes the coordination of asset management practices, system development and documentation; responsibility for coordinating, training, and providing all needed technical support at the departmental level for specialized computer applications, including those applications that are specific to the Water Resources Department and related to the WAM system; developing, coordinating, supervising and participating in technical support; and assisting in the coordination of system updates, job scheduling, documentation and support for application software. Work involves providing quality control of the WAM data; creating and maintaining work flow processes; creating and providing related reports; and representing the division on City work and asset management committees and work groups. An employee in this class must have the ability to quickly develop a thorough knowledge of departmental programs, procedures and policies; and requires the exercise of considerable independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in completing assigned tasks.
Salary: $44,811 – $72,953
