Responsible for prospecting non-Aspect customers via telephone. May staff industry shows and events to evangelize Aspect solutions. Provide initial dialogue with prospects to gain interest in Aspect solutions. Provide first level qualification and sets appointment or next step conversation for AE. Assigned a sales territory and typically works with 6-8 AE’s. Works with AE’s to develop prospect targets within territory. Responds to leads from marketing generated events. Performs prospect account research through website, press releases, and social contact searches. Profiles industry vertical to identify opportunities for Aspect solutions. Holds annual and quarterly revenue target, does not close the sale. Responsible for quarterly lead generation quota. Revisits dated prospect leads that may have gone cold to reengage AE. Knowledgeable of all Aspect products and services.

PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop target list or prospects within defined territory.

Communicate progress against targets with manager and AE assigned.

Research prospect accounts to identify client pain for point of entry.

Initiate contact through cold call and/or e-mail messaging – succinctly communicate Aspect value.

Qualify next steps through AE introduction.

Act as safety net for leads passed that may have grown cold and re-engage with them.

Highly specialized level of expertise in company products and services.

Ability to communicate complex information to customers.

Strong customer service and teamwork skills. Professional demeanor to maintain and enhance relationships.

Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. May be tasked with sales/development of new or strategic products.

Ability to use professional concepts in developing approaches in the solution of critical problems and broad design issues. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to lower level personnel.

Capability to work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables.

Ability to provide solutions that are highly creative and to exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Skills required to work on problems that have long term impact on success of organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

12+ years of sales experience or demonstrated experience.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Ability to pass a background check may also be required.

Physical requirements include sitting for long periods of time.
