The Multimedia Production Designer position will lead the development of the digital design, video, audio and interactive content for all marketing and communications materials. This position will also be responsible for multimedia communications for BioFire’s meetings, exhibits, website, advertisement, training, social media, and other various promotional and communication deliverables.
This position will require a demonstrated ability to create highly professional work within established branding guidelines. Applicant needs to be comfortable being tasked with all stages of the product development process from initial “big picture” conceptualization to meticulous revisions and editing the final stages including updating details and making exhaustive changes.
Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer testimonials, internal and external communications, promotional videos, product marketing videos, recruiting videos, training, and other company projects.
Script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources, set deadlines and select optimal forms of media for projects.
Work independently, as well as part of a team to establish project deliverables.
Collaborate closely with internal project requestors and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content.
Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media
Manage video library
Some print design production will be required.
Training and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
3-5 years work experience
Mastery of Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude amid consistent critique and feedback
Experience with regulated products and understanding of clinical medical diagnostics market is a plus
Ability to work autonomously within tight deadlines and turn-around times.
Attention to detail while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Team leadership skills a big plus.
Familiarity with a wide variety of cameras, various HD and SD formats, preproduction/planning, studio and field production, lighting/grip, and photography.
Small format mixers, compression, EQ, effects processors, audio recording techniques for studio and field, multi-track and waveform editing.
Digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a team environment
Aptitude for making quick, quality decisions
Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign a big plus
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite Physical Requirements:
