Support the Gov’t team leads, as directed by the Project Manager, in the timely and accurate accomplishment of tasks directly associated with the primary security function of the office where assigned. Perform other security related functions, as directed by the Project Manager, to meet mission requirements such as during a mission surge or periods of employee absences.

Requirements:

Each multi-discipline Security Specialist shall possess knowledge of and have experience working in one or more of a variety of security disciplines to include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Classification marking and declassification review; counterintelligence; credibility assessment; force protection; foreign intelligence; foreign travel and disclosure; identification badge processing; industrial security; information security; investigations; operations security; personnel security; Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) accreditation and management; security education training and awareness; security policy, strategy and programs; Special Access Program (SAP) administration; security briefings/debriefings, threat management and mitigation.
  • Each multi-discipline Security Specialist shall have a minimum of three years work experience with at least two years performed successfully in a Security Specialist role; preferably within the Department of Defense (DoD), a Combatant Command (CCMD) or other Intelligence Community (IC) agency.
  • Each multi-discipline Security Specialist shall possess recent experience (gained within the last three years) of completing multiple tasks concurrently and within deadlines.
  • Each multi-discipline Security Specialist shall possess strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor that will allow efficient and effective cooperation with colleagues, visitors, and officials throughout DIA, other federal agencies, as well as members of the public and private sectors.
  • Each multi-discipline Security Specialist shall possess proficiency (gained from three or more years of work experience) in using computer applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Each multi-discipline Security Specialist shall possess proficiency (gained from three or more years of work experience) in operating standard office equipment such as telephones, fax machines, photocopiers, printers, scanners, and shredders.
