The Overnight Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at Clarity Way is a member of the multidisciplinary team who is directly involved in providing quality care to patients. CMA’s are responsible for providing assistance to the nursing staff.
Takes client medical histories, performs and records vital signs and prepares clients for examination.
Assists with completing Nursing portion of admission process.
Completes patient assessments and notes.
Documents and updates Multidisciplinary Records.
Inputs client related information into medical record systems.
Transfers clients to Emergency room when appropriate.
Operates Pyxis machine based on appropriate protocol.
Assists with laboratory services and facilities routine tests as directed by MD and/or Nurse Practioners.
Maintains clean and properly stocked examination rooms and equipment.
Assists with ordering client specific and stock medication and updating inventory.
Writes, transcribes and reviews orders for non-controlled medications.
Administers non-controlled medications.
Medical Assistant Certification
Minimum of one (1) year of experience acquired through a combination of education or practical work experience.
Work experience in a mental health or substance abuse/recovery environment or with a 12 step program is preferred.
