This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual to showcase their talent! The GreatAmerica Marketing Internship Program is a tool designed to capture the best and brightest students off college campuses in order to build GreatAmerica bench strength in the Marketing Function and to give the student the opportunity to experience marketing in “the real world”. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work part time during the summer with a hope they will come back the following summer and eventually be a candidate for a full time position, depending on their graduation timeline. The part time scheduling of the Internship is very flexible.
The Intern will reside in the Office Equipment Group (OEG) Marketing Function and the Intern’s Mentor will work closely to ensure meaningful work is being done. Marketing positions within the OEG unit must gain a deep understanding of our target customer needs and our products/services, be effective writers, multi-taskers and project managers, in addition to being creative.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Writing concise and effective copy for communications (emails, magazine articles, customer testimonials, landing pages and case studies) to prospects and customers.
Supporting our participation in industry events (trade shows, association meetings, etc.) and ensure the GreatAmerica brand is represented well and that attending personnel are fully supported.
Assisting with execution of marketing campaigns and internal communication.
Improving our accuracy and effectiveness in our CRM through improved data integrity.
Monitoring and analyzing marketing activity (email, social media, website) and provide reports/make recommendations.

Education: Successful candidate must be working on a Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum GPA of 3.25 overall and 3.5 in their major area of study.
Experience: No prior experience required but a strong desire for a career in Marketing or Communications is required

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
Other Requirements: Must have an interest in marketing and business and a willingness to learn business basics. Must possess a strong desire to stay in Eastern Iowa.
