Marketing Assistant – Dialer job – Guild Mortgage – Grand Junction, CO

Position Summary

The Marketing Assistant – Dialer plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of activities related to the company’s branch functions. The role is primarily responsible, under direct to general supervision, for helping grow the Guild footprint in targeted areas via recruiting and production support.

Essential Functions

Cold call targeted leads made up of potential recruits, real estate agents, referral partners, and/or past clients with the goal of setting appointments.

Build and manage database of potential contacts.

Talk to approximately 20 potential recruits a day, totaling 100 conversations per week.

Complete a minimum of 10 candidate information sheets each day.

Set a minimum of two follow up meetings a day, totaling 10 appointments per week.

On a daily basis, add candidate profiles to the MyCircle Recruiting Database.

Schedule follow up reminders for calls in the database.

Memorize call scripts and mortgage terms in order to ease conversations.

Attend company-sponsored training events to better understand Guild’s business model and expand mortgage knowledge.

Assist in the management of events, which may include managing RSVPs, coordinating food, preparing event deliverables, pre-event set up, post-event clean up, etc.

Perform other duties as required.


High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate or Bachelor’s degree, along with a minimum of one year experience in phone sales-related role(s).

Prior experience in Mortgage Lending preferred.

Outgoing and energetic personality with the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone.

Well organized and detail oriented.

Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ethical, with a commitment to company values.


Direct to general supervision required, depending on experience

Low level of independent judgment and discretion used in decision-making; executes standard core job responsibilities with only minor variation and escalates more complex issues for advice and resolution

Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; occasionally bends, reaches, walks and/or stands. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift office equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.

Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of telephone, computer keyboard and mouse.

Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.

Environmental: Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
