Manager, Internal Communications job – Novelis – Atlanta, GA

Role Overview:
The Manager, Internal

Communications, leads the implementation and ongoing management of programs and

vehicles that communicate the company’s strategy, goals and ongoing progress to

employees in order to drive engagement. The incumbent will provide

communications support and coaching to internal customers in devising and

implementing their communications programs.

In a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment, with many

initiatives under way, this role is critical to help employees understand

Novelis’ strategy, vision, and goals and the role they play in achieving it.

These initiatives will span all Novelis regions on a global

scale and will impact all organizational levels. The manager works with the

Director to develop strategies, tools and channels to reach employees at all

levels, with an enhanced focus on the shop floor, and manages the ongoing

production of these channels. This requires coordination with regional

communications teams in order to ensure effective delivery.

Role Responsibilities:
Manage multiple

communications channels, including intranet, electronic newsletters, employee

meetings and events, videos, announcements, printed publications, etc., that

support effective communication throughout the organization.

Manage

the implementation of employee communication campaigns designed to educate

employees on and engage them in Novelis’ business goals. Incorporate and

reinforce our strategy messaging in all communications

Partner

with business leaders to support their functions in communicating strategic

initiatives and progress toward them

Maintain

effective employee communication channels and programs that reach across global

languages and cultures

Foster employee pride and build the corporate brand internally

Qualifications

:

7-10

years of experience in corporate communications; experience within a global

manufacturing company preferred

Bachelor’s

degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline such as corporate

communications, public relations, or marketing communications

Background

in workplace communications; experience working with cross-functional and

global teams of employees

Excellent

organizational and project management skills. Ability to multi-task in a

fast-paced, deadline-driven business environment.

Attention

to detail, sensitivity to time management and deadlines.

Strong

PC-based computer skills, including a proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint,

Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Outstanding

communication skills, both written and verbal
