Maintenance Technician Role:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for efficiently performing all necessary maintenance for the community and to assist the Maintenance Supervisors with the overall maintenance programs of the community. The Maintenance Technician provides support, and is accountable for delivering on our commitments to our residents. This includes quality move-ins, resident satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to the resident. The Maintenance Technician responds to our resident’s service needs while providing exceptional Customer Service.
Effectively handles resident and management service requests within 24 hours.
Assess and repair issues including electrical, plumbing, A/C, HVAC, appliances, and interiors.
Assists make-ready team with technical repairs.
Installs appliance and electrical fixtures.
Maintains accurate records regarding service requests, make-ready status, work-in-progress, etc.
Participates in on-going property preventative maintenance plan.
Maintains a positive customer relations attitude.
Contributes to cleanliness and curb appeal of the community on a continuing basis.
Assists with resident functions as required.
Promptly responds to on-call emergencies as required.
Maintenance Technician Background Profile:
Advanced knowledge in all areas of maintenance.
Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
Flexibility to occasionally respond to “after hours” emergency situations and resident concerns.
Maintain a professional appearance throughout the workday and/ or whenever present at the community.
Maintain a courteous and helpful demeanor with residents, prospective residents and co-workers.
Perform duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisors.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug scree upon hire.
