RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for the processing, cleaning, inspection, repair I remediation, and maintenance of portable product vessels within the Genentech, Hillsboro Technical Operations facility.

Support the maintenance, operation and repair of all systems, subsystems, and equipment within Tank Management at the Genentech, Hillsboro Technical Operations facility.

Provide support for the validation and re-validation of Tank Management equipment and processes.

Provide support to plant maintenance as needed.

Ensure all portable product vessels and tank management equipment are maintained inthe following manner:

All Preventative maintenance is performed at the appropriate interval and is completed by the assigned due date.

All portable product vessels and equipment remains in its designed and/or validated state at all times.

All portable product vessels and equipment are maintained and operated in accordance with Federal, State, Local .and Genentech regulations, procedures, andpolicies.

Ensure I maintain all assigned Tank Management equipment areas remain in a constant state of inspection readiness; specifically, but not limited to, the following:

Cleanliness.

Personnel and Equipment Safety.

Compliance to cGMP requirements.

Identify training deficiencies, provide recommendations for training and where applicableprovide training.

Continuously evaluate all associated Standard Operating Procedures, engineering drawings, and various other controlled documentation for accuracy and applicability. Submit appropriate change requests to supervisor to correct any deficiencies discovered.

Continuously evaluate maintenance practices to eliminate non productive activities and implement productivity enhancements.

Perform troubleshooting of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.

Perform Confined Space Entry on an as needed basis.

Complete preventive maintenance and assigned paperwork in a safe and timely manner following all cGMP documentation guidelines.

Work in close proximity to hazardous chemicals, high and low temperature liquids, high pressure liquids and gasses, steam, and moving machinery/equipment.

Coordinate contractors who perform repairs, modifications, and installation of various equipment.

Conduct work in an FDA regulated environment.

Who You Are

QUALIFICATIONS I REQUIREMENTS :
Thorough knowledge of cGMP compliance.

Must be able to pass the Tank Inspection VIsion Test.

Thorough working knowledge of R-Stamp program requirements

Must be R-Stamp Certified.

Overall knowledge of various welding and fabrication techniquesspecifically those associated with Stainless Steel and Hastelloy.

Overall knowledge of remediation and metal finishing techniques, specifically those associated with Stainless Steel and Hastelloy, includingsanding, buffing, polishing, electro polishing, de-rouging, and passivation.

Thorough working knowledge of crane and hoist operation and safety.

Thorough working knowledge of rigging and lifting techniques and safety

Ability to perform maintenance and equipment servicing according to Standard Operating Procedures

Thorough working knowledge of visual inspection techniques.

Thorough working knowledge of Alloy Analyzers.

Knowledge of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance philosophy andtechniques.

Thorough working knowledge of shop tools operation and safety.

Thorough working knowledge in the safe operation and use of various machine shop and fabrication equipment.

Knowledge of and ability to operate Clean in Place (CIP) skid and parts washer.

Knowledge in the operation of automated systems, including DeltaV and PLC controls.

Ability to read and Understand P&IDs, work from Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and have basic computer skills using word processors, spreadsheets, databases, and email.

Must continuously demonstrate the ability to work safely in an environment containing hazardous chemicals, high and low temperature liquids, highpressure liquids and gasses, steam, varying electrical voltages and moving machinery.

Knowledge of and ability to use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.

Must be detail oriented and demonstrate good record keeping practices.

Ability to work overtime or temporarily modify shift schedule to supportoperations as needed.

Thorough working knowledge of cGMPs and be able work effectively in ahighly regulated environment.

Thorough working knowledge of Federal, State, Local and Genentechregulations, procedures, and policies associated with industrial waste, bulk chemicals I gasses, refrigerants and hazardous waste .

Demonstrate effective communication skills including preparing technicalreports, the revision of various technical documents and procedures.

Effectively work with minimum or no supervision.

Must be detail oriented, organized and capable of multi-tasking

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 30 feet.

TRAINING DUTIES

Attend all required cGMP training as required by Department Policy

Attend all required Safety training as required by Department Policy

Complete on-the-job training using established training procedures

Maintain qualifications as assigned . EDUCATION/TRAINING

High School diploma or equivalent. Technical degree, certificate, or coursework a plus.

5 minimum experience in an industrial I manufacturing maintenance/operation environment

Completion of technical school or courses is a plus.
