Livonia Manufacturer of light soft flexible parts seeks experienced Production Laminator Operators to join our welcoming, can do work community. Hire-in wages $13-16 + depending on experience +shift premium for a candidate with applicable experience.
Training on the day shift but employee must be able to work midnight shift and available for overtime.
We are seeking candidates with previous successful experience in converting and or lamination operations and are familiar with lamination processes and running multiple component machines. The ideal candidate will have experience monitoring and adjusting laminators and trouble shooting minor issues with infeed and take-away conveyors, nip rollers, driers, and coating equipment- rods and other adhesive application systems.
Duties of a production laminator operator include
·Reads schedule, noting all instructions, supervisor instructions and specifications before beginning setup cycle. Computer skills required.
·Full compliance with all laminating machines job safety analysis of the safe operating procedures. Must also comply with general plant safety requirements, and housekeeping requirements.
·Machine setup and run laminating machines to assigned production schedule.
.Identifies poor quality material and notifies the supervisor and/or Quality Control
·Operators are required to clean glue and area
·Runs laminator at optimum speed, maintaining quality product.
·Follows the work instructions for each machine
·Follow procedures such as recycling cores, glue, marking splices
·Inspect machine during shift and notifies management of minor or major equipment failure
·Maintains constant check for the prevention of unnecessary waste
.Follows work instructions to insure smooth transitions between shift.
·Maintain a clean work area during shift and clean work area at end of shift.
·Responsible for training operators as needed.
·Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Employee must be able to climb ladder, stairs and work on a mezzanine and lift up to 50#’s. Must be able to work in a factory environment.
