Lead Housing Program Assistant job – Pittsburgh Mercy Health System – Pittsburgh, PA

The Lead Housing Program Assistant position is primarily responsible for the oversight of the smooth running of the residential programs for Bethlehem Haven. Bethlehem Haven provides emergency shelter and transitional housing and support for women who are homeless, chemically dependent and who have mental health issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leads the crossover at the beginning of all shifts and facilitates with the staff leaving to review and initial crossover reports, the resident and guest roster roll call. Completes the following paperwork for completion and accuracy; Exits and Intakes, daily and nightly crossovers, incident reports, residential and guest roster roll calls, and places the exits and intakes in appropriate staff boxes. Performs intakes when necessary

Facilitates: New Resident Orientation, and Community meetings, which includes the Resident Handbook, policies, procedures and the physical layout of the residential facilities, if needed. Perform weekly room inspections of each resident’s room, document and assist any resident who needs to clean their room. All room inspections are turned into the residential manager weekly. Provide supportive listening and guidance to residents as needed.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or 4 years of experience in a human services field.
  • Preferred to have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license but not necessary.
  • Good data entry skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Work Schedule:

Both 3pm to 11pm OR 11pm to 7am shifts available.
