Health and human services evaluation firm is seeking experienced Information Technology (IT) professional for the Arlington, VA office. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating services in four areas.
(1) Helpdesk – assist staff with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop/laptop computers; provide telephone and email support for staff experiencing IT-related issues; resolve technical problems with desktop/laptop computing equipment and software; and serve as an escalation point of contact for issuestickets being handled by the firm’s third party IT vendor; and act as a liaison between management staff and the IT vendor by communicating project status, departmental issues, resource requirements, needs, and recommendations. (2) Hardware/software/equipment – maintain current lists of IT vendors and contacts for product support; current list of support contract expirations dates, software license usage, domain name expiration dates, and SSL certificate expiration dates; and a list of hardware inventory and software inventory; and will also be responsible for hardware lifecycle maintenance for desktop, laptop, printer, wireless networking, Cisco networking, and firewall equipment.
(3) Standard operating procedures – review firm’s processes and systems, improve documentation and policies, and update all related documentation; and areas of focus will include policies on disaster recovery, acceptable use, network setup and documentation, security, etc. (4) Other duties – responsible for other IT-related tasks, as assigned, to meet corporate IT business needs.
Qualifications/Requirements: Candidates will have an A.A. (bachelor’s degree preferred) in an IT-related field. Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience with Windows Server and desktop operating systems, Office 365, LAN/WAN troubleshooting, Microsoft Terminal Services, Sharepoint online, printers, and mobile phones. Ideal candidate has experience working in an IT environment, managing vendor relationships, and managing projects of small to medium scale; excellent organizational and communication skills; and ability to work independently and as a team member.
