A successful Inventory Services Analyst must be analytical and detail-oriented and be able to provide excellent customer service to the branch managers and salespeople. The person must be strong at understanding product pricing and data and be able to learn and understand the tools needed to update the system.

Responsibilities include:

  • Be first point of contact for all salespeople/managers for all product data concerns.
  • Responsible for new product item loads either derived from salespeople, sourcing, or vendors into our ERP systems – MSC product file in Eclipse and WDS
  • Create and maintain existing product data attributes such as product description, UPC, catalog, shipping weights, manufacturer buyline/priceline, etc
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating inventory and commission cost by gathering information from vendors, manufacturer rep, sourcing team, or salespeople
  • Load and update territory/operating company inventory and commission costs, where applicable.
  • Create and maintain vendor data such as manufacturer bill to/ship to information, taxable information and certificates, classifications, and pay terms
  • Responsible for managing product file which entails cleaning and modifying existing data to ensure product file is complete, timely, and accurate.
  • Maintain and loading vendor special cost information for contract customers where needed
  • Work with Pricing team to ensure products are properly classified in appropriate sell groups
  • Provide support to Eclipse conversion team to ensure items are loaded and available for all operating system conversions are successful
  • Expected to have strong product knowledge and manufacturer background to discern ambiguous product information into usable data
  • Logical reasoning through use of excel and Eclipse to classify and maintain product data

Required Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.
  • Plumbing/Showroom/HVAC product knowledge preferred
  • Strong Excel skills (ability to do data analysis and preparation)
  • Eclipse/PDW knowledge preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical minded
  • Detail oriented and efficient
