Install CyanogenMod 7 Final Release On Google Nexus One

Earlier, we covered CyanogenMod 7 RC3 Release for the Nexus One and that ROM was stable enough for everyday use. Development was fast underway to put out a final stable relase without any bugs at all and that day has finally arrived with the release of the CyanogenMod 7 Stable Release. The ROM includes some additional features as well in this release. For more on this ROM and how to install it on your phone, read on!

The ROM is almost a day old, and as far as we can tell it has no bugs at all. But as we said, it’s a day old and well, you never know. However, one of the additional features is the much valuable bottom status bar, which was previously covered by us for the Nook Color as a Mod for the CM7. Now we get this feature bundled in the ROM for phone’s as well. So what are you waiting for let’s get this ROM up and running on the Nexus One!

  1. Firstly, download the ROM and Google Apps from the link above, and flash the zip files via ClockworkMod Recovery. For those new to flashing custom ROMs, see our guide on how to install a ROM or app from zip file to android via recovery.
  2. For those upgrading from previous CM7 releases, simply make a NANDroid backup, and then flash the ROM.
