This position supports a warehouse and O&M function for a government customer. The warehouse issues and ships, receives and stores government specialized equipment. Prior to shipment, staff prepares equipment for issue by removing it from storage, inspecting it for operability and current firmware/software as well as that data stored from previous uses has been removed, keeps the location current in the property records and prepares property transfer documents. After receipt into the warehouse, staff updates property location in property records, notifies the shipper that the equipment has been received, downloads data and clears that data from the equipment, inspects the equipment, repairs defects found or arranges for repair at another facility, returns functional equipment to inventory.

The Information Technology Support Lead will:
Lead a team that provides touch maintenance and installation support for IT systems on a TS/SCI network and on an unclassified network, each with fifty clients and associated network equipment and crypto gear. This team also supports installing and updating firmware and software on electromechanical equipment using procedures provided by the equipment supplier. This team also backs up data from and then sanitized equipment of operational information as it returns from deployed locations.

Support certification and accreditation efforts on these two networks, and serves as alternate Data Transfer Officer under supervision of the site security officer.

Conduct surveys for new installations, collecting all necessary information for installing a new position including interviewing the user to determine how the system will be used and the best way to achieve the user’s needs.

Configure PC’s, routers and switches with basic configuration for allowing initial remote management of the device.

Provide on-site support and troubleshooting for the helpdesk for issues that cannot be resolved remotely.

Submit hardware trouble tickets for the repair/replacement of equipment.

Conduct on site troubleshooting of items.

Complete issue//turn-in documents for hardware that has been replaced.

Requirements:
Certifications required in A+ and Security+ CE or equivalent.

Previous experience leading a team of IT specialists in a similar environment required.

At least five years of experience are required, including specific experience to support the knowledge areas described above

A BS degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is required.

TS Clearance with current or recent access to SCI is required.
