Key Responsibilities Purpose/Summary: In this role you will play a critical role in supporting DDSI’s fast paced Human Resources Department. In this position you will be primarily responsible for System administration, HR metric/KPI reporting and analysis, various generalist duties, onboarding, off boarding and for supporting the Damco HR team to ensure proper administration and timely completion of various HR processes. You will support the organization on day to day Human Resources matters as outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:
¬HR Systems Super User Maintain accurate data and update as needed SAP and Payroll/Benefits system and ensure data quality and consistency

  • Act as key point of contact for all payroll & ADP matters and related reporting
  • Serve as SAP Super User to HR team
  • Subject matter expert in learning management system

Recruitment/Onboarding/Offboarding Support

  • Support recruitment activities as needed (i.e. scheduling interviews, career fair planning, posting positions, screenings, etc.)
  • Prepare and forward offer letter package and background check information to new hire.
  • Provides hiring managers with all necessary documents and actions for a successful onboarding
  • Responsible for all on-boarding activities/processes

o Responsible for monitoring and following up with the drug/background process

o IT and network setup liaison

o SAP/Payroll/ Time and Attendance enrollment

o Processes I-9s and E-Verify

o Conduct monthly new hire orientation

o Key point of contact for new hires on benefits and other questions

  • Monitors completion of mandatory training and objective setting for new hires
  • Offboard colleagues from appropriate HR systems and sends instructions to managers on outstanding items and offboarding procedures
  • Aministration of temporary worker unique ID and systems access

General Administration

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of personnel records required by law or local governing bodies
  • Execute special projects identified, monitor progress and track receipt of deliverables and assist HR team as required
  • Organize and arrange meetings or training logistics, communications, etc.
  • Assist with facilitation of local trainings as necessary, including New Colleague Orientation Programs


  • Measure critical HR metrics, track and distribute as required to business leaders; track global HR KPIs; make recommendations for actions necessary based on KPI trends
  • Compile and distribute monthly staff reports including staff count, hires, terminations, temporary associate reporting and maintenance etc.
  • Document and maintain SOPs for all processes
  • Assist in the development of and review existing HR processes and make recommendations for improved efficiency
  • Monthly RICC Audit Reports
  • Measure hourly payroll completion compliance
  • Report on PTO carryover/cash-out and potential cost


  • Perform other position related duties as specified by management
  • Maintain updates in the Colleague Guide and ensure intranet pages are current and up to date
  • Ensure labor law poster compliance
  • Create and maintain HR and company forms.
  • Assist with Temporary Provider compliance audits

Who we are looking for Position Specifications:
Education and Experience

  • BA/BS preferred in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field, preferred
  • Prior Human Resources or related experience preferred, not required
  • Strong PC skills. Highly proficient in Microsoft office applications such as Excel (ability to perform pivot tables and Vlookup), Word, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with SAP preferred (ability to develop and modify queries); Proficiency in web development programs and knowledge of HTML preferred
  • Wage and hour labor law knowledge, preferred
