GSA Capture Manager job – Nexagen – Aberdeen, MD

Nexagen has an immediate opening for a GSA Capture Manager to make an impact on a small but growing organization. This position will be specifically focused on the identification and capture of business through GSA Schedule 70, Professional Service Schedule (PSS), 8a Stars and Alliant 2 Small Business contracts at government agencies. The manager will leverage customer relationships and personal experience to identify and assess potential business opportunities that result in measurable revenue growth. The manager will be expected to manage capture activities for GSA engagements including: develop the optimal solution, identify gaps and emerging requirements, assess and recommend teaming partners, perform market and economic analysis, conduct business intelligence, design and execute formal capture plans, and monitor competitor activity for each capture.

Job Description:
Retention and Growth of GSA Contracts

Develop, organize and execute significant GSA capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions and to respond to and win business with new and existing customers.

Lead identification and capture of new GSA business opportunities in Defense and other Federal Agencies.

Research and identify new business opportunities using GovWin, eBuy, FedBizOps and other available Business tracking programs.

Support the proposal process through a variety of functions to include: content development, resume formatting and editing, assisting with review cycles, and additional proposal coordination support, as needed.

Function in a collaborative environment to build and maintain relationships with senior managers, program managers, peers, and across the capture team.

Plan, document, and manage the internal and external capture project efforts.

Determine customer requirements, conduct competitive analysis, and establish pricing strategy.

Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in a technical field preferred.

Five (5) years of experience in successful business development and leading capture efforts in a government environment. Experience with Alliant or Oasis a plus.

One (1) year of experience bidding and winning GSA contracts for IT or engineering services.

Documented and established record of sales and wins in the federal sector.

Knowledge of and experience with Federal environment, proposal, acquisition and budgeting processes.

Ability to gain internal support and operate independently with limited supervision and feedback.

Ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, managers, and peers in the company.

Ability to network with Government officials at all levels. Former military experience beneficial.

Excellent skills with Microsoft Word.

Excellent communication and organization skills.

US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance with the Department of Defense.
