Google Squared Launches, With A Flaw!

What is Google Squared

Suppose you want to know who were the American Presidents, the best thing you will do is to go straight to Wikipedia. But if you don’t want to read lengthy articles and would like to see small details, photos, and dates of those American Presidents, then Google Squared is for you. It displays all type of important information in a neat spreadsheet and is useful in many situations.

Suppose if you are looking to buy a Hybrid car, you will have to go and search about those cars on 50 sites and then pin down the difference among them on a piece of paper. Google Squared, instead will show all Hybrid cars in a simple spreadsheet where you can find and compare details on transmissions, length, price, etc. Watch the video below to get a more clear picture of what I am talking about.

What’s The Flaw

Although Google Squared is a nice initiative, it is far from perfect and has some serious flaws. It pulls the images from different websites and blogs(based on keywords), which can make the results look funny and awkward in some situations. As an example, try searching for ‘american vice presidents’ and check the image of George Clinton.

It turns out that he is the so called “Godfather of Funk” and his name is George Clinton too. Google has mistaken between a Vice President and A Musician. Perhaps Google’s spokesman will have to apologize for this mistake, since it is a matter of huge embarrassment for former VP’s family. There are many other cases too, and in some Google has mistaken the description too. Enjoy!
